In order to configure the Auto-Clean feature in SmarterMail:
1)
Login to the web interface as the System Admin
2)
Go to Settings, and then click on Folder Auto-Clean
3)
On the Options tab;
a.
You can allow domains to override auto-clean settings
b.
Allow users to auto-clean Inbox
4)
In order to add an Auto-Clean Rule click Add Rule
a.
Choose the folder you want to Auto-Clean
i.
Deleted Items
ii.
Junk Folder
iii.
Sent Items
iv.
Inbox
b.
Enable Auto-Clean
c.
Set the Type to clean by either Size or Date
i.
If cleaning by size then
1.
Set the before auto-clean size
2.
Set the after auto-clean size
3.
Then click Save.
5)
Login as the Domain Admin
a.
Go to Domain Settings
b.
Go to Domain Folder Auto-Clean
i.
You can use the default auto-clean settings
ii.
Override auto-clean settings for this domain
iii.
Also, allow users to override auto-clean settings.
